I’ve been running on tablets, and even tablet PC’s, since the mid-2000’s and love them. My current weapon of choice is my network-enabled Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1.
I take it to meetings, use it as my media device for music, books and video, and even take it hunting as a large GPS-enabled map.
But when it comes to getting actual “work” done the tablets become a little sketchy with the on-screen keyboard and impractical cases and stands. And if you change tablets, you always have to purchase a new case because none of the form-factors are ever the same.
To the rescue comes the Zagg Auto-Fit 10! The Bluetooth keyboard and universal case will fit virtually any 10″ tablet with some spring-loaded pieces in the case. I’ve used it for the Samsung, an ASUS Windows tablet and even an old discount 10″ Android tablet I’ve had laying around for years.
The keyboard is small, but comfortable, the battery life is excellent, and case, while not very fashionable, does not add a lot of weight and does a great job of protecting the tablet.
The disadvantage of the Zagg is that in most cases you will not be able to plug the tablet in while working, and in the case of the Samsung I had to set the device off-center to ensure I could plug my speakers/headphones in on the left side (I know, get some bluetooth speakers… working in it).
There’s still time to get this amazing device for Christmas, or immediately after the holidays if you get one as a gift. I still mainly carry my tablet in a soft case and use the online keyboard for most functions, but when I know I’m going to need a full keyboard during a long meeting or to type up a document or blog post, the Zagg Auto-Fit 10 makes the job way easier. There’s also a 7″ model, the Zagg Auto-Fit 7, if you have a smaller tablet.
Check it out at your local electronic store, or order it up on Amazon right now!
